Issue:

The issue is providing an OHS Training Program for Immigrants to assist integration into the workplace

Objectives:

• To know how to secure employment/become entrepreneurs and maintain employee/employer status
• To know what contributes to a health and safety work culture in a Canadian Workplace
• To know employees’ rights and responsibilities within the workplace
• To know about workplace hazards
• To know what entrepreneurs need to know

Anticipated Results:

Immigrants will know their rights and obligations in the workplace and will be able to work in a manner that is consistent with Canadian occupational health and safety
