Associate Membership Application

An expansion of the Associate Membership eligibility criteria in 2003, supports and encourages access and the sharing of information and data with a view to increasing knowledge, awareness and the importance of workplace health and safety and the workers' compensation system with organizations that support the common goal of safe work places and healthy workers.

The Association is pleased to announce recent enhancements to Associate Membership services. The Roster of Experts, updated twice a year, providing contact details for personnel in various operational areas at Boards and Commissions, is now available on the Associate Members area of the web site . In addition to the Roster of Experts access to documentation regarding Emerging Issues, Committee Mandates, a Member Directory and job posting service is also available.

Accessibility to workers compensation information has also been enhanced. Publication contents, previously produced in hard copy format, will be posted on the Associations website in table format. Please note that the National Work Injuries and Disease Statistics Program publication will continue to be released in hard copy format.

Workers Compensation information that will be posted throughout the year includes:
  • Industry Classifications, Assessment Rates and Experience Rating Programs
  • Benefit Comparisons
  • Legislation
  • Occupational Health, Safety & Prevention Programs
Associate Members also benefit from a reduced registration fee to attend the AWCBC Congress's. These events provide valuable networking opportunities that are designed to assist workplace partners with learning and sharing information about existing and emerging worker compensation topics. The next Congress is scheduled to take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2010. To reference contents of previous conferences please click here.

The Association invites organizations that support the common goal of safe work places and healthy workers to apply for Associate Membership. $400.00 in Canadian funds is payable to the Association of Workers’ Compensation Boards of Canada on an annual basis.
