WorkSafeBC’s Specific Priorities Research Grants were launched in 2014 to help answer key questions in occupational health and safety and workers’ compensation. The grants support research of immediate relevance and encourage the development of new ideas and approaches.
To that end, each year WorkSafeBC’s Research Services works with stakeholders to identify research needs and develop specific questions. An RFP is issued, and grants are awarded on a competitive basis, to qualified researchers based in, or formally affiliated with, a Canadian university or research institution.
The purpose of the current Specific Priorities Research Grants competition is to develop a better understanding of specific issues relating to: Static electricity in a combustible dust environment.
Letters of intent are due August 29, 2016, and the deadline for applications is September 16, 2016. Principal Applicants must be Canadian residents.
