WSCC: Public engagement on partnership funding for safety training

print

The Workers’ Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC) is seeking input as it works to improve access to workplace safety training and certification.

Under workplace safety legislation, all employers are responsible for providing the education and training workers need to do their job safely.

Employers, business owners, and all those with an interest in workplace safety are invited to participate and provide suggestions on the type of safety training their organization requires and how WSCC funding agreements and partnerships related to safety training should work.

The WSCC currently provides funding to safety training organizations based in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories and welcomes feedback on ways these partnerships can be improved.

This engagement will be open from April 19 to May 6, 2022.

Visit the WSCC’s website www.wscc.nt.ca or www.wscc.nu.ca to read more and to share your feedback by completing an online survey or participating in an online meeting.
