The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) has now been implemented in Canada under Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS). GHS is a standardized, internationally consistent approach to classifying chemicals that is being adopted in the United States and across Europe, Australia and Asia.
