Objectives

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the sensitivity of a biomechanical model of the shoulder during handling tasks through two analyses comparing men versus women and experts versus novices.
This model will provide insight into movement characteristics and the most risky techniques for workers and estimate the physical risks of workplace MSDs.

Anticipated Results

On completion, it is expected that the researchers will use the model to develop workplace design recommendations and risk reduction principles.
