Trevor Alexander selected as new WCB-Alberta President & CEO

Announcement from Grace Thostenson, WCB-Alberta Board Chair, to staff at WCB-Alberta:

I’m pleased to let you know the WCB-Alberta Board of Directors has selected Trevor Alexander as our new President & CEO, effective March 18, 2019.

Trevor brings 32 years of workers’ compensation experience, most recently as the Senior Vice President, Operations of WorkSafeBC. He has been with WorkSafeBC since 1999, where he has led teams involved in claims, prevention, assessments, IT and investigations.

In his current role he is responsible for the leadership and direction of the Worker and Employer Services division. Previously, he worked in a variety of roles with the Northwest Territories Workers Compensation Board for 12 years.

Trevor’s deep passion for the business comes from his years as a case manager, when he developed a drive to improve the workers’ compensation system to make workplaces safer and ensure injured workers receive the treatment, support and service they require to recover and return to work and life.

He is a recognized expert across the country in workers’ compensation matters, and Trevor has shown he has the knowledge, passion and vision to lead this organization forward.

Please join me in welcoming Trevor to WCB-Alberta.

Sincerely,
Grace Thostenson
Board Chair, WCB-Alberta
