To raise awareness of the importance of health and safety in the workplace, a variety of marketing and social media activities take place throughout the country and around the world. Some target sector specific hazards and others are aimed demographically such as at young workers. With changing seasons, there are also communications to combat heat stress or harsh outdoor working conditions.

- Northwest Territories and Nunavut – WSCC Rap “Work” by Godson April 21, 2015
The Workers’ Safety & Compensation Commission (WSCC) of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut collaborated with Yellowknife hip-hop artist Godson to create the original song “Work”, a call to action for increased safety at work.
