WCB Manitoba: Day of Mourning Leaders’ Walk

Each year in Canada, we take April 28 to remember workers we lost to workplace injuries and illnesses​ with a National Day Of Mourning. Canada was the first country to commemorate this day, but it is now observed in over 80 countries around the world.

SAFE Work Manitoba encourages all Manitobans to remember those we lost and invites you to attend events that will be held on Friday, April 26 in Winnipeg to commemorate and honour these workers.

SAFE Workers of Tomorrow – Leaders’ Walk

11:15 a.m. 
      SAFE Workers of Tomorrow Leaders’ Walk – participants gather at Union Centre, 275 Broadway
11:30 a.m.       Leaders’ Walk begins and proceeds down Broadway to Memorial Park
Noon                 Media event / ceremony at the Workers’ Memorial in Memorial Park
