WorkSafeBC: Proof of concept for proposed improvements to the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program

WorkSafeBC, in consultation with stakeholders, has been creating practices and procedures to support Assessment Manual policy item AP5-247-4, which provides the framework for the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program. As a result of this work, we have developed a proof of concept for a number of proposed improvements. Testing of this proof of concept was scheduled to begin in 2020, but had to be suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We now plan to begin a trial of the proof of concept in January 2021 with a select group of auditors and employers. If you’re an employer that has been selected to participate in the proof of concept, your certifying partner (CP) will reach out to you with the specifics related to your participation.

To learn more about the proposed improvements and next steps, please see this document.
